sportsmen. For this reason, San Martino is the official sponsor of many Sports
Associations in Sardinia, among the most famous the male football team Sassari Torres
(promoted to the 1999/2000 third division championship, it almost reached the play-offs in
the 2000/2001 championship) and the female team (winner of the first division championship
in 1999/2000 and 2000/2001). Promoted to the second first-division championship in
1999/2000, the volleyball team Cagliari achieved the impressive goal of the play-offs in
the highest division this year.
Events
Sensitive to solidarity initiatives, San Martino started the
beauty contest Miss Mare whose first edition took place in Alghero in summer 2000. A remote emergency service has been created thanks to the funds raised during the event. Prizes awarded
